A Review on Relative Advantage and Structure of Regional Growth Domestic Production in Provinces of Iran

| The different regional growth and development is basic problem in
regional economic literature. Examination on regional growth domestic
production and its structure in different level depend on recognizing
potential sector balance and information about sector capacity that is
used to make planning and policy for every sector and provinces.this is
done by applying the shift-share model and location quotient index to
the economic sector in total provinces for discovering advantage and
export sectors in period 1379-1383
The study concludes that, most provinces have positive regional share
effect in agriculture. It shown that these Provinces have Advantage in
Agriculture.
Tehran, Khuzestan, semnan, Fars. Kermanshah, hormozghan and
hamedan in services sector have positive industry and regional
structure, because of total effect is greater than national effect, services
and industry activities have mostly ability and opportunity for creating
value added and promoting economic growth in these provinces.
In 1383 year, agriculture, hunting, forestry, education, health and social
work, construction, transport, storage and communication among
fifteen activities are basic sector in most provinces. |
