Abstract:   (123 Views)
This study investigates the impact of socioeconomic variables on charitable behavior in Isfahan Province and compares it with other provinces in Iran. Utilizing data from a extensive survey of 1,000 individuals in Isfahan Province and selected provinces, the research analyzes factors such as income level, education, age, marital status, and occupation type in relation to individuals’ willingness to engage in philanthropic activities. By employing survey data and statistical methods, the this amis to identify patterns of charitable behavior in Isfahan Province and contrast them with other provinces to enhance understanding of the drivers of altruistic practices in Islamic society. The findings could  assist policymakers and charitable institutions in designing more effective programs to promote a culture of philanthropy. The methodology includes logistic regression analysis and propensity score matching to identify behavioral patterns and inter-provincial differences between provinces. The results reveal:  higher-income individuals exhibit greater willingness to participate in charitable activities, though no significant difference exists between Isfahan and other provinces.. Individuals with higher education demonstrate stronger inclinations toward philanthropy, with notable variations across provinces. Older and married individuals are significantly more likely to engage in charitable acts. Professions linked to social services and education are specifically associated with increased participation in philanthropy.
